What will it take to be successful in this role? In addition to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the Property/Casualty insurance industry, five years claims adjusting experience (preferably with home personal lines) and three years people leadership experience, the ideal candidate will possess: Leadership skills: * Experience auditing, ensuring compliance, and providing timely and effective feedback to team members * A proven track record of success leading by example and championing the engagement of others to provide exemplary service to clients * The ability to be flexible and act as a change agent in pursuit of achieving organizational results * The ability to be effective in a highly visible and fast-paced environment AND Technical skills: * Field home claims experience inspecting damage and writing estimates * Experience handling home claim large losses ($100,000 or greater) is preferred * Water mitigation training OR * The ability to learn technical home adjusting skills.

Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance is seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead the daily activities of a team of approximately nine claims representatives, specializing in home claims. In this role you will ensure state regulatory compliance, control severity and manage expenses through proper claim investigation, evaluation, negotiation and disposition. You will utilize your people leadership skills to manage staffing, employee relations, training and development, licensing and performance management. You will be an advocate for all components of our Value Proposition, seeing that it is upheld as a foundation to our culture, including a new level of personal accountability.
