Position Requirement:

A well-established, fast-growing independent insurance adjusting firm based in Florida is expanding to North Carolina. The firm is currently seeking experienced property and/or liability field adjusters to handle claims in the state. The expansion is statewide and adjusters are needed throughout the entire state and/or in strategic locations to facilitate coverage needs. Multi-line adjusters with knowledge of both property and liability claims are preferred, but not required. Qualified applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered: Minimum 3-years claims handling experience as a staff and/or independent field adjuster Ability to take direction Excellent written and oral communication skills Proven ability to work independently and efficiently from his/her home office Computer literate with a working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel), basic internet navigation skills using Internet Explorer, and working knowledge of PDF generation software Experience with estimating software; Xactimate preferred Very flexible schedule to accommodate client/insured needs Reliable transportation Physically capable of completing required tasks such as climbing roofs A current North Carolina adjuster license

Job Details:

1. As this is a new branch for the firm, the positions are being offered initially on a contractor basis. However, once the branch has been established, staff positions will be available and will include a benefits package.
2. All applicants must currently reside in the state of North Carolina. Relocation reimbursement will not be provided.
3. These positions are for handling daily claims; career catastrophe and/or storm adjusters will not be considered for these open positions, but may be added to the firm’s catastrophe adjuster roster.
