· College degree or equivalent work related experience, and a minimum of ten years of work experience in the auto property damage field. · Strong leadership skills that include effective coaching and development through performance management processes and collaboration obtained through strong quantitative, analytical, teamwork, written and oral communication skills. · Exceptional thought leadership skills and effective benchmarking of progress is critical to facilitate strategic alignment in both the home office and regional office. · Candidate must possess the ability to innovate, analyze and interpret data to drive results and maintain a solid understanding of the regulatory environment that affects the APD industry. · Computer proficiency is required in MSOffice and preferred in APD vendor platforms. ·The successful candidate will be able to present issues in a highly professional manner and influence others by translating ideas into action and results. · A minimum of eight years of progressive insurance-related leadership experience is strongly preferred, to include experience managing supervisors. ·Candidate must possess the ability to challenge the status quo and effectively consider and use multiple perspectives to effectively gain consensus and drive the operation to “next level” thinking, including technology innovation to best serve our clients and produce a positive financial impact. ·The ideal candidate will understand the industry-related trends and possess an understanding of current repair and replacement practices with appropriate APD technical knowledge. ·AIC, ICAR Gold Class designations preferred.

The purpose of the Home Office Auto Property Damage (APD) Manager position is to ensure that high level functional expertise and policyholder service is practiced in claim adjudication within the unit. This position is responsible for the APD program and its results within the territories assigned. The Home Office APD Manager aligns and manages the employees and other resources in order to achieve Loss Cost Management, Cycle Time, Claim Quality and Policyholder Satisfaction within the APD Program and Handle with Care goals. The position is responsible to develop and maintain broad based business strategies across the home office and regional office for Ameriprise nationwide Auto Desk Review Programs. The candidate will successfully partner with APD technology solution vendors for improved efficiency and results while monitoring compliance and alignment with best business practices.

This includes data analytics and online scorecard management of internal auto desk reviewers as well as oversight of the total loss program. Further focus will be placed on salvage recovery net returns, rental management and proper identification of fraud. This position will oversee three to six direct home office supervisors and up to 50 home office indirect reports with dotted line authority over the regional office APD business practices for a centralized strategic approach. The successful candidate will motivate and inspire team members while modeling professional and ethical leadership.
