I just received my Tx license and i want to start working, but it is impossible it seems to work without previous experience. So what i am looking for is a adjuster that will let me ride along with them and allow me to gain first hand field experience, in return they will basically get free labor.
Thank you!

Or if anyone has any solid advice on how to land a decent staff position in auto/property adjusting that would be great also!

Come on people!, 80 people have viewed this and i have yet to get a single response. So does that mean that not one of the people who have seen this know anything about insurance adjusting and that no-one here is employed? Even if its not a ton tell me what you guys know.

Dear Amart:

I don't think there is a whole lot of interest in posting and that is a real shame. The wealth of knowledge and experience people in the business have is pricless.

Imagine for a moment if you had 5 "seasoned" adjusters and investigators who got together and gave a FREE seminar. Even charging 20.00 instead of the ridiculas hundreds of dollars some organizations charge per head would give you standing room only. Let's see who picks up on this.

Congrats on receiving your Texas adjuster license. It's like all the other licenses. You study hard, take the exam and then say, "Ok, now what?

I would try to hook up with your local claims adjuster club association. Networking like you are doing on claims pages can generate great contacts only if claimspages is being looked at.

Happy hunting

Amart,

What you desire imposes an acceptance of liability on the person allowing you to ride along. Do not be offended by the lack of response.

I do not like to have a trainee along on claims. They distract from the control of the situation every adjuster needs to maintain while performing the investigation.

And what if you get injured, i.e. auto crash, fall from ladder etc.

JELA THANK YOU!!! Finally a response. Your right about the amount of experience that is here to be tapped, but seems unachievable. I understand what you are saying, but maybe you could share a bit of this knowledge with me?

TRon- I also understand what you are saying, i would give my word but as I'm a no one i don't suppose my word would really count for much would it? Maybe if i pulled up a All Liability Work Release form, me and the awesome adjuster that takes me on could come to terms with that. Then if anything happens to me i just burned myself. As for distracting the working adjuster i already know most of the basics of doing a scope so i won't be nagging constantly about stupid little questions. Maybe it could actually help the adjuster out too as 4 eyes always see more than 2,IMO. I am not so much looking to have a teacher as i am just looking for someone to allow me to put down that i have experience in field.

I'm still looking for any more info or offers that anyone has or further responses from the first two brave souls.
