A man and woman were injured Tuesday on a cruise ship docked at Port Canaveral, officials said. A trauma alert was issued for a man who apparently suffered a neck injury aboard the Norwegian Breakaway, and a woman in her 70s suffered some type of fracture, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue. Port authority said the man, who worked on the ship, was in his late-20s and that something fell on his head while at sea, injuring his neck. He was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center. The woman is in stable condition, according to authorities. Norwegian Cruise line officials say the two injuries were unrelated. Passengers say the boat has some slippery areas but they don’t think that the high surf played a factor in the injuries.
