A southbound Amtrak train derailed in central Vermont on Monday morning. The train reportedly struck rocks on the track near the town of Roxbury at around 10:30 a.m. ET, according to Amtrak. Four people were reported injured when five cars derailed and two went over an embankment, the Montpelier Fire Department told NBC News.Emergency personnel and investigators from the Federal Railroad Administration were traveling to the scene. The train was apparently part of Amtraks "Vermonter" service, which runs between Washington, D.C. and St. Albans, Vermont.
