Aspen Woman Wrecks In Ravine, Then Reports Car Stolen

A 36-year-old Aspen woman who reported her car stolen in late 2014 only to have police find her blood inside the vehicle when it was discovered months later in a ravine, was charged with insurance fraud and other counts Tuesday. Kelly Redwine was advised of the charges against her Tuesday in District Court in Aspen, and was later released on a $3,500 personal recognizance bond, according to court documents. Redwine called police Nov. 6, 2014, to report her 1996 Ford Explorer stolen, according to a police report filed in District Court.
