Three people were injured after a car possibly drove off state Route 905 and crashed into an SUV driving below the overpass Monday, according to California Highway Patrol. The overturned car came to a stop on the sidewalk on Picador Boulevard and Smythe Avenue just below state Route 905 overpass around 5 p.m. A black car appeared to have crashed with a black SUV before skidding to a stop. One person with major injuries was taken to UCSD Medical Center. Two others were being treated with non-life threatening injuries at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, CHP officer said.
