Car Hydroplanes off Coastal Cliff in Oregon

A car crashed off an embankment after hyrdoplaning in standing water early Wednesday morning. The 19-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, police said. Newport Police Officers responded to the crash on NW Oceanview Drive at NW 33rd Street just before 9 a.m. Officers found a 2000 Honda Accord 25 feet down an embankment on the west side of NW Oceanview Drive. The impact of the crash caused extensive damage to the vehicle, police said.
