Car Reported Stolen Was Buried By Snowplow

Police were sent on a search for a stolen car Sunday afternoon in Racine during the middle of the snowstorm. The car, however, soon showed up, only it had been covered in snow. According to Racine Police Lt. Al Days, police received a report of a stolen vehicle at 3:53 p.m. The woman reportedly had left her car running outside in the 5500 block of Byrd Avenue about 20 minutes earlier, but when she went outside she couldn’t find her car and called police, Days said. She told police she didn’t loan any one her keys and police started looking around the area for the “missing” 2000 red Neon, Days said.
