Car slams into 2 Gresham, Ore. homes, nobody hurt

A car slammed into neighboring homes in Gresham on Monday night causing extensive damage, but nobody was injured. Police were called to the scene on the 4000 block of Southwest Fifth Street at about 6 p.m.
Investigators said Donald Eads, 82, drove his 2003 Ford Crown Victoria into one home, then careened into the house next door. Eads told police he was heading south on Nancy Drive toward Fifth Street when he mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal.
