Driver Plows Into Chesapeake Post Office

Seven people were injured after a car drove into a post office building in the 1400 block of North Battlefield Boulevard Monday afternoon. Chesapeake Police Spokeswoman Kelly O’Sullivan told 10 On Your Side they received the call about the crash at 12:25 p.m. The driver reportedly drove into the building from a parking space. Police believe she stepped on the gas instead of the brake. “She came through the glass. It was a loud noise and everyone turned around to look,” said Kristy Stevens, who was inside with her three-year-old daughter at the time.
