Drunk Driver Plows Into Virginia Restaurant, Flees Scene

Henrico police arrested a driver after crashing through a Chipotle near Virginia Center Commons Sunday night. Dawn Margaret Carter, 48, is charged with driving under the influence (2nd within 5 years), and felony hit and run. It happened around 8:30 p.m., at 1070 Virginia Center Parkway. Henrico police responded to the scene, and they say a car hit the front entryway of the restaurant. A viewer, who was inside, captured video of the car attempting to back out of the restaurant. A few vehicles outside were also damaged, in addition to the front of the building.
