WDSU.com - A man was killed and another was injured in an accident involving an elevator at the Cargill Grain in Bridge City. The incident happened at the Cargill Grain in the 900 block of River Road Tuesday about 4:30 p.m. Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies said the men were working in the elevator shaft when a cable snapped and the elevator fell on them. Jeffery Feucht, 44, of Kenner was pronounced dead at the scene. Steven Steel, 25, was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
