Firefighter: Space Heater Flame, Dust Caused Explosion

Four people were injured after an explosion at an Edmond business on Thursday morning, emergency officials said. The explosion happened at Tuboscope, located in the 3600 block of S. Kelly Avenue, an EMSA spokesman told KOCO Eyewitness News 5. Initial reports from scanner traffic and dispatchers suggested the explosion might have been chemical in nature. However, EMSA’s Tony McCarty said that the four people injured suffered thermal and not chemical burns.
