Firefighters Trapped By South Sacramento House Fire

Two firefighters were rushed to the hospital after becoming trapped in the basement of a burning home Monday morning. A third firefighter is being treated for smoke inhalation. Around 6:30 in the morning, neighbors called after seeing smoke coming from a home along 22nd Avenue, near Stockton Boulevard. Multiple crews of Sacramento City firefighters responded to the home. Units went into the basement to find where the fire was burning, when there was a ‘mayday’ call. Two firefighters were trapped in the basement.
