Atlanta Fire crews were working a two-alarm blaze in an unoccupied building formerly owned by Morris Brown College, Thursday evening. No injuries were immediately reported, but the fire sent thick smoke above the downtown area that could be seen for miles. Later, a firefighter suffered a minor physical injury.
Firefighters initially fought the fire, which they believe started on the third floor and spread to the fourth, by ladder truck but were later forced to pull crews out of the building due to safety concerns.
