Four Vehicles Submerged By Flooding At Underpass, One Fatality

Firefighters said one person died after four cars got submerged in flood waters at the underpass Howard Street at New Cut Road early Thursday morning.Firefighters said they found the victim inside one of the cars. They also found another driver who they were able to get to safety. The two other cars were abandoned when firefighters arrived. Coroner Rusty Clevenger said the victim died in the vehicle and was underwater when firefighters discovered the body. Clevenger said emergency responders had received numerous reports of stranded vehicles at the height of the flooding
