Four fatalities and 12 critical injuries were reported Thursday after a Ride the Ducks duck boat collided with a charter bus on Aurora Bridge in central Seattle. The crash occurred at 11:13 a.m., blocking all lanes of the state Route 99 bridge. Fire crews were on the scene and drivers were directed to use alternate routes as the bridge will likely be closed for hours.
Seattle Fire Department Chief Harold Scoggins confirmed that four people had died and 12 more were critically injured. The seriously hurt were taken to Harborview Medical Center on Seattles First Hill for treatment.
