A man lost two of his limbs Monday in a shredding machine accident at a Kansas City business, firefighters said. Firefighters and ambulance crews were called about 10:30 a.m. to ABC Tire Recycling, located at 4401 Gardner Ave., near downtown Kansas City. When crews arrived they had to rescue an employee who had fallen into a tire shredder feet first. "It came in as a traumatic rescue, when they arrived on the scene we got information that an individual fell into a tire shredder and was separated from two of his limbs," said Battalion Chief James Garrett, a spokesman for the Kansas City Fire Department. "We have investigators here on the scene investigating."
