Strong winds and heavy rain damaged many downtown Hot Springs buildings on Tuesday, as well as knocked the power out city wide. Many schools in the Hot Springs district lost power around 11 Tuesday morning. The district was forced to end school early and send kids home. While city officials assessed local storm damage, their buildings took a hit as well. Strong winds blew out the window of Interim City Manager Bill Burrough’s office. The Garland County Title Company even lost a portion of its roof during the storm.
