Crews Monday extinguished a massive structure fire that erupted in Glassell Park. According to the Los Angeles City Fire Department, the greater alarm blaze erupted shortly after 5:00 a.m. located in the 3000 block of North Fierro Street near San Fernando Street. Upon their arrival, authorities located the one-story building completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters said the fire is being fueled by combustible storage and propane cylinders. “[The fire] is being described as palletized storage, possibly wooden pallets,” said LAFD Spokesman Brian Humphrey. “It appears to be an assembly building of some sort.
