The Missoulian - As of Tuesday morning, the cost of fighting wildfires in Montana came to about $11 million, according to the Northern Rockies Coordination Center in Missoula. Most expensive to date is the 204,000-acre Ash Creek fire, on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation and in Powder and Rosebud counties. The total there so far is $3 million. The figure is sure to go higher as the southeastern Montana fire continues to eat up acreage and resources. - Go To Story
