There were mudslides, thunder and lightning, and hail storms overnight, with a flash flood warning being issued for Los Angeles County until 5:30 a.m. Friday. It started when a small fall storm moving through Southern California dropped much-needed rain across parts of the region Thursday night. A lightning storm later hit the San Gabriel Valley at around 2 a.m. Friday, and could be seen from miles away.The Colby Fire restoration preparedness alert level was raised to yellow in light of possible flooding and mudslide danger.
