Asbury Park Press - Traffic-related fatalities in the Garden State are down significantly from this time last year, but the decline across Central Jersey has been far more modest, according to a state Division of Highway Traffic Safety report and accident statistics compiled by the State Police. Overall, traffic fatalities fell from 291 to 262 at the midway points of 2011 and 2012, respectively. Statewide, that’s a decline of 10 percent from last year, even though the 262 deaths recorded so far is up slightly from the 256 recorded at the midway point of 2010. - Go To Story
