National Database Reveals Suspicious Car Claims

Police this week rounded up three of four suspects in an insurance fraud scheme in which they are accused of damaging cars multiple times in order to file insurance claims. Georgia Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens’ office on Wednesday filed 42 felony warrants following its investigation launched on a tip from insurance companies. A spokesman for Hudgens said that the four suspects defrauded two insurance companies of $40,000 over a two and a half year period. On Wednesday police arrested Moultrie residents Calvin Dewayne Washington, Celdrick Sherrod Greene and Amanda Laverne Cornelius, and were seeking Aundra Bernard Williams Sr.
