Just days ahead of Christmas, more than 50 people were left without a place to live after a devastating 3-alarm fire tore through a Log Street condominium complex early Sunday morning. Fire officials said the three-story building suffered about $750,000 damage. Nobody who lived at the complex was injured, but at least one pet perished in the fire. Crews arrived on scene around 3:30 a.m. and quickly tried to knock down flames, while other firefighters searched the building for people still inside. Three people were helped get to safety through a window.
