New Haven Man Collected $25K In Comp Benefits While Working

A New Haven man who was seen selling baseball bats while he was supposedly sidelined with an injury that left him unable to work was arrested and charged with illegally collecting Workers’ Compensation benefits. ERIC LEHRER, age 32, of 88 Harrison Street, New Haven, was arrested Friday on a warrant charging him with one count of Workers’ Compensation Fraud, a class B felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
