One Passenger Rescued From Car Overturned In Orlando Canal

A second person has died after a car overturned Monday into a canal in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The fatal crash happened around 7 a.m. at West Oak Ridge Road and Brookgreen Avenue near Interstate 4 and the Florida Turnpike in Orlando. The victims were only identified by troopers as a 24-year-old Orlando man and a 41-year-old Orlando man. A 19-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to the FHP. A sheriff’s deputy who was a minute away from the crash was the first person at the scene, closely followed by three firefighters.
