Road Rage Precedes Fatal, Head-On Crash

A man who deputies say was fleeing after a reported road rage incident was killed when he crashed head-on into another vehicle, injuring a mother and child, according to Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office officials. Deputies said they received separate calls Wednesday night about the road rage incident and a civil disturbance involving the same vehicle. The call about the road rage incident came in around 9:40 p.m. on New Leicester Highway, Natalie Bailey with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office said.
