Tampa police believe the wrong-way driver who struck one of their patrol cars, injuring an officer, was under the influence of alcohol. The crash happened just before 4 a.m. Sunday on Armenia Avenue near the I-275 highway ramps, police say. According to Tampa police, Officer Natasha Stanek was exiting the interstate at Armenia Avenue when Hillary Whittle struck her car. "(Stanek) had a green light at that intersection," said Lt. Rick Ubinas, with the Tampa Police Department. "She proceeded through that intersection, and she was struck on the driver’s side of her vehicle by a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes."
