Therapy Dog Survives Virginia Home Fire

Meet Lieutenant Shaggy Dan. He’s not the military veteran in the family, that’s 26 year old Jonathan Alan Roth.
Shaggy Dan is Jonathan’s therapy dog in training. The young Roth was severely wounded while serving in the Army and suffers from Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD. Jonathan’s sister Samantha was cooking chicken in oil on the stove when - as dad Jonathan Jay Roth explains - this happened. "My daughter was cooking and she shut the door and Dan was left in the house and he come up and jumped up to look out the window to see and jumps up and hits the lock."
