Three Evacuated After Truck Crashes Into Home

Fire crews responded to reports of a truck running into a home early Monday morning. According to the battalion chief, a man driving a black pick up truck went through a stop sign at Northwest 59th and Raintree in unincorporated Platte County. The man then crashed into a home nearby. There were three people, two adults and an elderly person, inside of the home, according to the battalion chief. The battalion chief said that the truck hit a gas meter and gas quickly filled up the home, causing all three people inside to be evacuated.
