About this Position

The Product and Sales Analytics Manager evaluates current performance of all key product and sales processes using advanced analytical and technical skills to develop operational reporting and analytical solutions. This position also utilizes effective data storytelling skills to deliver business insights to all levels of leadership. Ensures coordination and support of the overall goals and objectives of the division.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Essential Job Functions

Perform the evaluation of business processes using analytical and technical skills to deliver advanced analytics, ad hoc analysis, operational dashboards, operational KPIs and operational modeling.

This includes:

  • Using technology to drive automation of analytical solutions and enabling enterprise-wide self-service analytics including interactive dashboard solutions to visualize data
  • Development of operational analysis/insights/metrics and KPIs utilizing data modeling and other advanced tools and methodologies
  • Understanding business needs and resource requirements in order to drive appropriate prioritization decisions and influence other departments to help as needed
  • Meeting the ongoing ad-hoc analytical and reporting needs of the business
  • Ensuring Business partners are receiving support levels promised and serving as data stewards for the those groups and their related business applications
  • Representing Business groups as primary contact on cross functional analytical initiatives
  • Establishing and supporting of analytic standards and peer reviews across the analysts

Responsible for overall development of the analytics unit, including:

  • Establishing department strategies and objectives
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of division goals and objectives, policies, standards and procedures
  • Advising management on operational and/or related financial issues as requested
  • Developing and implementing performance review processes in support of the Sales and Product objectives

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of actuarial, analytics, and experience that provides the skills necessary to perform the essential function of the job.

Work Experience Requirements

At least seven years of progressive experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the skills necessary to perform the essential function of the job.

Previous experience working for Property & Casualty Personal Lines company. Auto Insurance background preferred.

Other Skills

Strong analytical skills and highly proficient in SQL, SaaS, Excel, PowerBI.

Machine Learning a plus.

Experience effectively managing competing priorities.

Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
