Underwriting Assistant - Commercial Package

Overview: The Underwriting Assistant will be responsible for supporting the middle market multi-line package underwriting function for the organization. The role will have some work from home flexibility and will be completely work from home until there is a return from the Covid lockdown.

Functions:
• Handle certificates requiring consideration of endorsed language or changes to terms and/or conditions.
• Participate in the rating of Commercial Package policies.
• Manage all work assignments and plan for date sensitive activities.
• Process mid-term changes and issue new business and renewal policies for all size accounts, primarily midsize and large.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of information necessary to process changes, including more complex entries and updates.
• Review incoming policy specification inquiries and/or Renewal Questionnaires and recognize changes that need to be addressed and/or referred.
• Work in a highly team-focused environment.
