Modeler increases European storm loss estimate

PERILS A.G., a Zurich-based catastrophe insurance data provider, has increased its estimate of insured losses from Windstorm Xynthia in Europe to €1.3 billion ($1.65 billion). The loss estimate is the third that PERILS has issued since the Feb. 27-March 1 storm and is a 2.4% increase from its most recent estimate in May.
