Pedestrians in the Orlando metropolitan area should watch where they step -- the region has recently been ranked as the most dangerous for pedestrians out of the 54 largest metropolitan areas, according to a report released by Transportation for America. The report, released Tuesday, states that from 2000 to 2009, there were 557 people killed while walking in the greater Orlando region. With rising gas prices, many believe more people will turn to walking or riding a bike as an alternative to driving. The problem, the report said, is that most roads in Orlando arent designed with pedestrian traffic in mind.
