The sinkhole that swallowed up part of a building in downtown Leesburg is not stable yet. Police discovered the sinkhole around 1 a.m. Monday after a security alarm went off at the building on the 1000 block of East Main Street. The building’s owner, Rafeek Mohamad, said the building was only six years old. There was a beauty supply store inside. Products could be seen sliding off the shelves and into the sinkhole. "This here is worse than at break-in," Mohamad said, "because in a break- in, you can’t steal too much stuff but here, the building is gone."
