Pittsburgh police said a man in his 60s or 70s rode his motorized wheelchair into downtown traffic and caused a three-vehicle crash Tuesday. Officers said the man left Mercy Hospital and took a downtown ramp to get onto Bigelow Boulevard. Police said cars coming the other way were already down the hill when they saw him. The first and second cars were able to stop, but the driver of a third vehicle slammed into the second car, which then crashed into the first car, officers said.
