One dead and 30 injured in crash; driver did not have a valid NYS license

State Police say the driver of a tractor-trailer that rear-ended a tour bus traveling from Hamilton, Ontario to New York City has died. There were 53 people on the bus. Two were critically injured. Forty-six passengers in all were transported to seven different local hospitals where 30 were treated for injuries. Seven people were taken to University Hospital. One has been admitted for further care. Crews were called to the Thruway around 1:30 a.m. Friday and found both the tractor-trailer and the bus engulfed in flames.
