Snails clogging pipes in the Cape

Almost 800 Cape Coral residents have called about small snails wreaking havoc on their water irrigation system. It has left homeowners and the city frustrated because the snails don’t seem to be dying off. Clogged pipes, slow water flow and damaged equipment - it’s a story Cape Coral homeowner Steve Casman knows too well. But the culprit for his sprinkler problems wasn’t something he expected. "I was kind of surprised to hear that it was snails that were clogging it there’s so much on the canals because of inadequate dredging and cleaning it could have been anything," said Casman.
