The Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma recognized Muskogee County officials for significantly reducing the number of insurance claims during the past year. The award, officials say, is the result of a lot of hard work and the implementation of safety programs for county employees. District 1 Commissioner Gene Wallace, chairman of the countys board, said those efforts and statewide recognition will reduce insurance premiums for the county and save taxpayers money.
