12 Injured After Lynx Bus, Big Rig Crash

Twelve people, including 10 passengers, were taken to hospitals Wednesday morning after a Lynx bus and a tractor-trailer crashed in downtown Orlando. The crash happened about 10:50 a.m. at Hughey Avenue and Amelia Street, just west of Interstate 4. According to Orlando police, a preliminary investigation showed that the driver of the big rig may have run a red light and crashed into the bus, which then struck a tree. Police said it’s possible that the driver of tractor-trailer suffered a medical condition prior to the crash.
