Tens of thousands of gallons of raw sewage backed up into two Brighton homes Monday, and the homeowners want to know who is responsible for the damage. Eighteen inches of sewage flooded the basement of the Gress family home, getting into the vents and pouring out of the light fixtures before hitting the upper level. The family is trying to salvage what they can, but much of what they own is now sitting in a dumpster covered in sewage. Their homeowners insurance will not cover the extensive damage, and the family wants to know who will be paying for the repairs.
