Authorities say the investigation into the cause of a fire that destroyed a western Massachusetts country club could take more than a week to complete. No injuries were reported when the Country Club of Greenfields century-old clubhouse went up in flames early Saturday. Firefighters from dozens of communities helped douse the blaze, which left only the chimney and a few walls standing. Greenfield fire Capt. Andrew Garvin says the buildings age, wood construction and open floor plan made fighting the fire more difficult.
