A 9-year-old student in the Harrisburg School District had to be taken to the hospital after a substitute teacher accidentally cut off part of his finger, his mother said. Tanaya Scotts son is in special education in the fourth grade at the Marshall School. She said the school called her Tuesday and said her son had a gaping wound. Scott said she later learned that while the teacher was taking another child out of the classroom, she slammed the door, cutting off her sons finger at the top joint.
