An operator is okay after his crane collapsed Wednesday afternoon at Deaconess Hospital. It happened around 1:30 p.m. near N.W. 50th Street and Portland. The operator was working on a cooling tower on the roof when the crane fell. The crane collapsed into a parking lot and the backyard of a home. Several cars were damaged and a fence was destroyed. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Oklahoma City Fire Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland said the crane operator was shaken up, but will be okay.
