Richmond school officials are being sued by the mother of a 4-year-old autistic boy who was left on a bus. Nyheim Butlers lawsuit accuses Richmond Public Schools, the districts transportation director, a former bus driver and a former bus monitor of negligence. The lawsuit seeks $350,000 in punitive damages and $150,000 in compensatory damages. According to the lawsuit, Butlers son was left on a school bus in 90-plus degree heat for about an hour on July 6, 2010.
