Brown County Commissioners was allegedly scammed $150,000 through insurance fraud

Brown County Commissioner Ralph Jennings said Tuesday the amount the county lost in an alleged insurance scam was about $150,000. The $1 million that was originally reported was the amount allegedly lost from many companies located across Ohio who did business with Employer Benefit Services of Ohio, Jennings said. The alleged scam or negligence was accomplished by a family which operated a third-party insurance claim service, he said.
