3 hurt, 1 seriously, when car crashes into Scottsdale salon

A salon employee was seriously hurt after a female driver accelerated from a parking lot and crashed into the business about 2:15 p.m. Friday, Scottsdale police said. The Tuscany Salon employee was pinned between the wall of the salon and the car after the driver, who was alone, accelerated her Mercedes-Benz sedan and ran into the salon, 8912 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, said Officer Mark Clark, a Scottsdale police spokesman. The salon employee was transported to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center with serious injuries. Two others were transported with less serious injuries, Clark said. It’s unclear if they were salon employees or customers.
